ABIGAIL の双子的存在なBARBATOSが浅草デスフェストにやってくる！
BARBATOSはABIGAILのオリジナルメンバーのYasuyuki 独りにより結成。
当初はABIGAILのために作られた曲が若干の方向性が違うことにより誕生したプロジェクトバンドでこれまでに5枚のフルアルバムを発表。
ABIGAIL よりもパンクロック色が強い楽曲だったが2015に発表した"Straight Metal War" アルバムではこれまでの楽曲路線からさらに日本語歌詞とジャパメタにも近いキャッチーな要素を大胆に取り入れた楽曲でABIGAILと全く違う領域に到達。
一聴するとドタバタなメタルパンクサウンドですがきけば聴くほどに味のでるBARBATOS独自の世界観を展開。呑んで暴れるならつまみはスルメイカだ！

Formed by ABIGAIL's Yasuyuki in 1996, BARBATOS churned out straight forward, no-holds-barred Metal Punk for almost two decades. But the release of "Straight Metal War" on Hells Headbangers in 2015 was a turning point. Yasuyuki's music touched on the more traditional style of Japanese Heavy Metal, also referred to as "Japa-Meta". Combining this influence with the Metal Punk BARBATOS is known for with unique Japanese lyrics, BARBATOS is now reshaping the force holding everything together.
ABIGAL has returned to their roots, the dark and evil side of the force.
BARBATOS has gone forward into Metal, soon the two will clash.

DEMOLITION HAMMER、MALEVOLENT CREATION、DEICIDEなどスラッシュメタルをベースに発達したUSデスメタルのサウンドを継承するバンドが長野から登場。
スリーピース編成のINVICTUSは2016年に韓国のFECUNDATIONとスプリットをリリースし2017年には韓国ツアーも敢行。ライブ、音源ともに精力的に活動する期待の若手バンド。
オールドスクールでもなくニュースクール・ブルータルデスメタルでもない中期デスメタルとでも言おうかINVICTUSは凡百な「スタイル」に陥らずリフと展開のセンスが光る楽曲。 デスメタルのデスメタルらしさを再認識させてくれる素晴らしいバンドだ！
The city of Nagano has conceived a young three-piece death metal band heavily influenced by thrash-based US death metal. Listening to their songs, it may not be so hard to induce that they grew up listening to DEMOLITION HAMMER, MALEVOLENT CREATION and DEICIDE.
2016 was the year they released a split with South Korean technical brutality FECUNDATION and this year, they’ve finished their first Korean tour as they play numerous shows at home. Their sound cannot exactly be categorized as old school and yet it does not land into the saturating territory of new school type brutalism. They’ll be here to show us speed and brutality!

NEUROTICOS from Hiroshima is currently based in Tokyo and is an internationally active Brazilian-Japanese death metal band. Fast, crude, brutal and at times thrashy with a touch of south american tradition of bulldozer blast and non stop serpentine riffs circling around and around that makes your hair naturally swirling around as you headbang. Raise your fist, headbang ‘til death!
Japanese-Brazilian relationship is not about exchanging sushi and samba. It’s fuckin’ NEUROTICOS, death metal!

九州から登場した若手ゴアグラインド、FESTER DECAY！
日本では鬼門とされるCARCASS 屍体オンパレードでドロドログチョグチョの時代だった"Reek of Putrefaction"を継承する日本で唯一無二のゴアグラインドバンド。
サウンドはもちろん最低にして最高に腐りまくった死体グラインド。目ん玉飛び出し耳と鼻から体液ながして蛆虫に食いつくされながら腐ってくんだ。

Fresh off of their European slaughter with label mates MORFIN, Asakusa Deathfest would like to welcome back last year’s freaks, RUDE! They put on a stellar set at last year’s Asakusa that we had to have them back to slaughter Tokyo again! Since their demo was released in 2013, they have put out two outstanding slabs of piercing old school death metal with hints of MORBID ANGEL, PESTILENCE and DEATH. This time around, they will have their REMNANTS... album in hand for the attack!

FECUNDATION, South Korea’s most ambitious technical / brutal death metal duo, have been active since 2013. As a sequel to their first full-length, their full EP and a split with Japanese INVICTUS were released before their tour all around Asia of the 2016 - 2017 timeline. Witnessing their massacre, Japanese audience could not help fixing the eyes on their slick shredding and unforgivingly brutal blastbeats over intricate compositions. Shaking off all elitism in composure whilst playfully mastering their instruments, what comes out of this band in the course of their career is highly anticipated. A very rare mixture of traditional heavy metal/US brutality hybrid has been conceived and soon there’d be another kind of brutality born under their banner.

彼らのファーストアルバム "Inoculation"にはDEATHへのリスペクトとデスメタルへの愛が狂おしい程に詰まっており、ラストのDEATH "Leprosy"のカバーではイービルチャックの霊が彼らに取り憑いているのかと思う程の素晴らしいカバーだった！
DEATHの遺伝子を引き継いだカリフォルニア死亡金属、MORFINが浅草デスフェストにやってくる。血河屍山のデスメタル地獄をとくとご覧あれ！
We shook the dust off our boxes, dug up the collections of our history and thought once we’d seen it all...until MORFIN took us!
Based in Los Angeles, they’ve just finished their lengthy tour in Europe with RUDE and are already onto recording more materials. Under the F.D.A. banner we know we dig, there has been two full-lengths released since their formation in 2010.
Take the sharp noisy guitar, those epic triplets if not the shrieking vocals or the playful bassline. We’re talking about DEATH when we talk about MORFIN. Their purity and straightforwardness in love and respect for their predecessor is on a whole different level.

INVIDIOSUS hails from the frozen northern USA, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mixing grindcore, death metal, and depressive black metal, the band hails under the banner of "ANXIETY GRIND," and seeks to bring a raw, DIY punk approach to their brand of death metal. INVIDIOSUS will be touring Japan and South Korea in October/November of 2017, and seeks to destroy every venue they play along the way.

平成生まれの少年達はそれを知る由もなく大好きなSLAYER、SODOM、SARCOFAGO、SABBATを目指し生まれたバンド "EVIL"
これはただの偶然ではなく成るべくして成ったバンド名である。それは必然的な運命。 運命とは偶然ではなく過去～現在～未来 全ての時間軸において必ず起こる事象。
邪悪なる運命を背負った若者よ、6弦を切り刻み邪悪を讃えよ！
最終日のトリを飾るのはSABBAT。 浅草デスフェストでEVILの輪廻転生が起きる！
At the time of formation, Japan’s EVIL were doing what most teenage metalheads would want to do. Just wanted to sound like the bands they worshipped and enjoyed listening to, SLAYER, SODOM, SARCOFAGO and SABBAT. And they wanted to sound evil!
Naming the band EVIL, they did so without knowing SLAYER and SABBAT were also named such in the beginnings. Shall we call it not a coincidence but rather, destiny. Because our course of life admits of no contingency, caprice, or indeterminateness, through the past, the present, to the future, everything proceeds from a sort of necessity, and with the utmost perfection. So you children of evil, show the world that hell is still alive!
Shred your six strings, give ‘em hell, give us hell! Our last day of the festival concludes with SABBAT.

Japan’s putrefying metal of death, the sordid, three-piece monochrome aggression! Take the earliest of early death metal, extract all the slow parts and stew them down in rotten purulence. With severely distinct sound that’s gloomier than doom, moldier and heavier than death, they’d crushed the concept of speed and are still onto suffocating the audience worldwide.

2013年結成。パンキッシュなドラムに鬱蒼とした不協和音。大腸をサクサクはさみで切り取りながら直腸をいじくり回すような変態美食系ズルータル・デスメタルを完成させた。楽曲の骨格はAUTOPSYやASPHYXなど往年の死亡金属だが、中盤に垣間見えるシニカルな汚らわしさは自他共に認めるANATOMIAインスパイア―。
今年は地下の名門Xtreem Musicから初のフルアルバムBrain Eaterをリリースし、本国から東欧諸国にかけてのツアーも敢行予定である。
叫び声の織りなす苦悶の響きはリスナーの五臓六腑を掻き毟ること間違いなし。肝臓は局所麻酔で迎え討て！

Through the lust for all things rancid and rotten, born this eerie dissonance of putrefaction. Since 2013, the trio of German rotten death maniacs from Wolfsburg have been catering to the like-minded audience with their AUTOPSY / ASPHYX-molded death metal. Gut-wrenching growls and cynical, gloomy riffs are topped on rather punkish drums, feeding you the vision of scrambling the human rectum while cutting out the intestines with sharp scissors. When the songs enter into the creepy downer casings, the flesh is no longer there, the ANATOMIA-inspired dejecting abyss.
As a sequel to their 2015 EP, the first full-length “Brain Eater” has been released by Xtreme Music in March this year. Soon they will tour in their homeland and march on to Eastern Europe.
Asakusa Deathfest is going to be their first appearance in Asia. So stay tuned and rot to dead!

With dirty fingernails they’ve been throwing grit for 6 years now. Classic D-Beat, Blast, Crust, Punk and Metal blend into a hectic brew, siphoned out of the past but with wild eyes fixed on the now. These four ugly cunts; Fran, Romano, Dennis and Kieran have been shaken and sprayed across the innocent shores of Australia, Europe and Japan, essentially ruining them as they spit a demo, successive 7” splits, and live and studio albums at three continents of twitching, salivating dogs. Now their second full length ‘Bomb Thrower’ finds them abrasive, belted tight and ready to pummel Japan for a second time…

Maryland Deathfestに幾度も出演しParty San、Netherland Deathfestなど数々の国際的なアンダーグラウンドフェストにも出演。ライブ活動だけでなく数多くの音源もリリースするリアルデスメタルウォリアーズ。
いまやデスヘッズだけでなくハードコア・パンクス、クラスディーズ、グラインドフリークスからも絶大的な支持を得たCOFFINSが今年もまた浅草デスフェストに帰ってくる！ 重低音の響く中、ゆっくりと腐ってくれ！

It is often a source of surprise that a crust-conceived death metal happens to be the strongest of Japanese old school metal today. Still playing local shows regularly after almost two decades of their career, it's the death metal we know and love, though they have more unique reception abroad. In the past, they have been described sludgy, doomy and crusty but as they've regularly played their sets at Maryland Deathfest, Netherland Deathfest and other festivals of the same vein, their sound has gotten much heavier and more brutal each year.
Their most recent shows are filled with power riffs and more buzzsaw sonic abuse. Good news for us that they've gained many a good audience in this region predominant with punks and hardcore freaks while displaying such strictly death metal presence.
Strings edgy, vocals dirty, snare'ss crusty.
