FUNERAL MOTH x Asakusa Deathfest 2018
Tokyo based Doom Metal band FUNERAL MOTH was formed in 2005.
They started as a 3 piece doom band and released their first demo in 2006 and EP in 2008. In early days, their musical style was extremely slow and heavy straightforward crushing Doom Metal in hell.
In 2012, they added new additional guitar player to enrich their doomed harmonies into deep abyssal sea and finally released their monolithtic funeral doom metal 1st album "dense fog" in 2014. "dense fog" showed their music drowned into more atmospheric and bleak one in shadows of the sun.
In 2015, their original bass/vocal Nobuyuki Sentou was replaced with new member Ryo Amamiya.
With this lineup, they released 2nd album "transience" in 2016, which have more progressive and alternative style through their music then received critical acclaim from many magazines/webzines like Decibel, Metal Injection and so on.
And until the last sunset, their everlasting voyage for doomed nirvana will continue...
They will stop beriefly at the harbor of Asakusa Deathfest 2018 and those who come there shall be doomed!!!
2005年に結成した国産ドゥームメタル、FUNERAL MOTH。
初期は遅さと重さを極限まで極めた地獄を圧殺するドゥームメタルだったがより音楽性を広大な海の深淵まで沈めた1stアルバム “dense fog”をリリース。
そしてサウンドはより静寂かつ激情的な雰囲気を高め、沈みゆく陽影を染み付かせるものへと深化し斬新な展開を魅せ2016年に2ndアルバム “transience”をリリース。
彼等はその航海の途中でAsakusa Deathfest 2018という港に一時停泊し、そこに訪れた者達を破滅と奈落の奥底へと突き落とす。
最後の日没まで、彼等の破滅の涅槃を求める終わり無き航海は続いて行く...
