CONVULSE x Asakusa Deathfest 2018
CONVULSE is the one of legendary Finnish Old-School Death Metal bands.
In 1991, they made blueprint old-school Death Metal album "World Without God" from Thrash Records who released many masterpiece records.
After three years, band changed their style to more Alternative rock-like emotional melodies then, released second album "Reflections" from Releapse/Nuclear Blast Records in 1994.
This album led CONVULSE mixed several essence of music genres which made band's another improvement but split up after 2nd album.
In 2012, they made their reunion and released 3rd album "Evil Prevails" then 2016's 4th album "Cycle of Revenge".
Band once again shows its resurrection with improved professional playing and classical Death Metal songs.
And, finally... legendary Finnish Death Metal "CONVULSE" confirmed as headliner at ASAKUSA DEATHFEST 2018 !!

フィンランドデスメタルレジェンドバンドの1つ、CONVULSE。
1991年にオールドスクールデスメタルの教科書ともいえる "World Without God"をVITAL REMAINS, SENTENCED, EXIT 13など数々の名盤をリリースした名門、Thrash Recordsから発表。
その後、バンドはサウンドスタイルをチェンジしヘヴィロックさ、エモーショルなメロディを取り入れたセカンドアルバム "Reflections"を1994年にRelapse / Nuclear Blastからリリース。
他ジャンルからの影響を取り入れた音楽性豊かな楽曲に新たなデスメタルの可能性を感じる素晴らしい作品だったがバンドは解散。
しかし伝説は蘇る。
2012年に再結成しセカンドから19年ぶりとなるサードアルバムを、2016年には4thアルバム、"Cycle of Revenge"を発表。ベテランらしい安定した演奏力と楽曲、貫禄あるステージングで完全復活を遂げる。
そのフィンランドデスメタル伝説、CONVULSEが浅草デスフェスト2018のヘッドライナーとして登場!! 日本全国のデスメタルヘッズが浅草に集結する時が来た！
