BIOMORPHIC ENGULFMENT (Thailand)
Biomorphic Engulfment was formed in 2017 upon the gathering of Wit (then Lacerate, Splattered Orgasm, Villainous) and Polwach (then Smallpox Aroma, Cystgurgle, Ecchymosis) respectively on guitars and drums. The two started to compose their material since then. Searching for a vocalist, both came to an agreement that Kittipat would fit the position.
The band released their debut demo “Pestilent Microparasitic Domination” in 2018. They proceeded to recruit two more members on bass and guitars and released their debut full-length album “Incubation in the Parallel Dimension” through South Korean label Show No Mercy Records in 2021. After the departure of the two members, the group proceeded to self-release a 2-song demo “Calamitous Devastation Through Grotesque Reproduction” in 2022 and submitted this demo to Indonesian label Brutal Mind. The label got hooked and keen to release the upcoming 2nd full-length, collaborating with Taiwanese label Fat Tub of Lard Records. In late 2023, Sakdidech joined forces with the band on guitars. Now they are in the phase of tracking the new album.
According to the band, “It is commonly known among maniacs that Asakusa Deathfest is one of the mightiest and most acclaimed extreme music/true metal festivals. Since 2016 until these days, the festival has been a quality stage featuring leading metal bands in circulation. We, Biomorphic Engulfment, are totally honored to be a part of the 2024 installment’s line-up. We are working hard to get fully prepared for this year’s event and to be worthy of the festival’s dignity. See you in the pit!!!”
