Arriving in 2016 from coordinates unknown, Warp Chamber spent the first two years of their existence festering and rotting in derelict basements and dilapidated garages across Olympia, WA. Drawing influence from bands like Morbid Angel, Demilich, and Timeghoul and the science fiction and horror films, video games, and books they grew up on, Warp Chamber sought to bring their own brand of twisted, psychotic death metal to the terminally infected west coast scene. The year 2018 was a very active time for Warp - they recorded the Abdication of the Mind demo early that year with Ethan Camp, followed up by a short west coast tour that culminated in the recording of Implements of Excruciation with Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, CA. Mounting challenges, from physical injury to neurosis, saw the collapse of the band upon the return home. Despite the successes of Implements, by the time of its release in 2020, Warp Chamber existed only as a traumatic memory.
Warp re-emerged in 2022, corporeal once more and hungry for flesh. This new era ushered in regional tours and shows in the US, Mexico and Canada, with reported sightings at Killtown Deathfest, Maryland Deathfest, Infest Edmonton, and Covenant Festival. In late 2025, Warp Chamber released the split 7” with Benothing from Finland on Carbonized Records. Recorded and mixed by Ethan Camp and Warp Chamber, with mastering handled by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studio, the release features a nearly six minute track that reflects the maturation of Warp Chamber’s sound and a preview of new music to come. 2026 will see performances from Warp Chamber across the US, as well as their first appearances in Asia and Europe.
